Got down about 11, had a good hour, great conditions, then stopped for a chat with Rog before he left, had a drink. Went out again - disaster! Boom snapped on the incoming windward side, just broke completely up by the mast where it was joined. Luckily a passing windsurfer took pity, probably a kmeter out, and we managed to sail our two boards and kit with one functioning rig back in, albeit well downwind. Rigged with another boom, but my heart wasn't it, especially as the boom was a bit old, so packed up, had lunch and went and bought a nice new one :-) and a new extension, since that was looking a bit pants as well.
